Unique elements we had at our Cheshire wedding

I am a big believer that your wedding should totally represent you. What reflects you and your partner to be. Here are a few unique ideas we had at our Cheshire wedding at Merrydale Manor.

1. Live Wedding Painter

This was hands down our favorite feature at our wedding. Stephanie Struth created our wedding painting and we are still totally in love with it. It was an incredible talking point at our wedding and a really special memento to keep after our wedding day. Why not ask friends or family to gift you this as a special wedding present?

2. Bonfire after party

This is such an intimate idea for a wedding after party. It was cosy, feel good and the perfect ending to our wedding. We had a smores table where guests roasted their own marshmallows with an acoustic guitarist and wedding tipples.

3. Personalised wedding notes

I hand wrote on a scroll tied with a bow a personalised note for every wedding guest. This doubled up as a place holder for our guests. This was hands down the biggest talking point after our wedding. It made guests feel special and definitely contributed to the family atmosphere we wanted to create.

4. Whiskey bar

My husband loves whiskey. And as it turns out so do loads of people! We wanted an upgrade on a traditional drinks bar so we brought in a premium whiskey cart for our guests to help themselves. Guests loved this, it worked brilliantly for our outdoor drinks reception. The wondeful Jonny Cocktails supplied this. The best bar men and entertainers in the industry!

5. Bespoke table plan

I wanted to inject a bit of creativity into our wedding and thought a table plan was a great place to demonstrate this. Somewhere where all the guests are going to gravitate towards is inevitably looking at where they are going to be sitting. I made the table plan myself, I bought a French glass screen online and asked our luxury wedding stationer's E.Y.I.LOVE to print our guests names onto perspex. Our incredible florists Verdure to decorated it beautifully.
